I'm always telling half of the truth
Withholding half of a lie
Like a two piece from Popeye's
I'm battered and fried
Cuz it takes more than before
And can't go nearly as high
I'm putting gas in the tank
But the battery died
Roses are red
And violets too
Through a rosy lens
I see the world anew
When she's next to me
You can hate the players
And you can hate the game
We're all peace loving people
There's no one to blame
I think I'm at peace
But I'm a drop of blood inside a leech
Driving fast all day
But the jackpot's further away
You're not paranoid
You're being followed
You don't feel the teeth
You're getting chewed and swallowed
Every time you cry
There's a voice somewhere in the sky
Looking down
And saying "Jackpot"

Dammit every track makes me smile. How did you do that? If a friend recommends this album to you, hang on to them because they're just as fabulously messed up as you are. I'd like to thank my bank for allowing me to buy things online again. Thank you. Everyone. Thanks. duskbringer
This Pittsburgh band's gloriously messy mash-up of post-punk, garage rock, and shoegaze is snotty enough to be considered plain old punk. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 2, 2022

Dirtbag Transformation: "What is this?" was my first reaction. But what an amazing song. It reminds me a bit of the Pixies in how it pulls together dissonance and then resolves. malfunction54
